Dear Preschool Families!
We had another wonderful week of learning and growing together! Our exploration of different types of equipment went incredibly well, and the children were so engaged and curious as we learned about how different tools and machines help us every day. We wrapped up this exciting unit today with an absolute blast—a special Glow in the Dark Dance Party! The energy was high, and it was the perfect, joyful way to celebrate all of our hard work.
Please remember that there is no school this coming Monday in observance of Memorial Day. We hope you enjoy the long weekend with your families!
When we return, we will enter our very last week of the school year. We will spend this time reviewing all the amazing things we’ve learned this year and preparing our students for their next big adventure by talking about what it means to be ready for kindergarten. Our conversations will focus on specific readiness skills, such as practicing independence,, sharing and taking turns, and strengthening fine motor skills like holding pencils and using scissors, making good choices by listening and following directions, and effective problem solving.
Our very last day of school will be Thursday, May 28th, and we want to celebrate it with all of you! Everyone is warmly invited to join us for a Family Picnic right outside our classrooms on the grassy area. The picnic will begin right at 11:00 AM. Please bring whatever will keep you comfortable, including a picnic blanket, camp chairs, and water bottles. You will also need to pack a lunch for yourself and your child, as we will not be using the cafeteria on this day. Dismissal will take place right after our picnic, between 11:45 AM and 12:00 PM.
We would love to see all of our families at the picnic to celebrate our last day together and wrap up an incredible, busy, and fruitful school year. Thank you for your continued support!
Enjoy the long weekend,
The Preschool Team
