My name is Annie Kucharcik, and I could not be more excited to teach at Patterson Preschool this year! I come from a multicultural background with more than 20 years of experience as an elementary teacher. 

I believe that being a teacher is a special calling – a work of heart that allows us to make the world a more caring, respectful, and knowledgeable place – one student at a time. I realize that teaching children is a privilege and a tremendous responsibility.  I want to make my little preschoolers’ learning pleasant and filled with rich experiences, loads of achievements, and lasting friendships.

When not planning the next steps of my students’ learning, I enjoy spending time with my family: my husband and our three children. Together, we can be found hiking, working on craft projects, playing the piano, or cooking a homemade dish in the kitchen. I also have a special passion for reading, writing, all things vanilla, and sunny afternoons on the patio!
