Good morning –
Said the trees and
They curtsied in
White lace gowns
Shaking snowflakes off
Their glistening
Wedding veils
As they waited
For their grooms
To arrive
The wind picked up
And tiny snowflakes
Greeted the
Passersby
Gently kissing cheeks
Hugging soft scarves
People were hurrying to
Offices, cafes, bus stations:
Wedding guests
Without invites
As the snow kept falling
The pale tree brides
Smiled at their
Wind grooms
In the magic of a
Morning snowstorm wedding
On my way to work
