Dear Families,
Our students have had a fantastic start to their first week in preschool, and we couldn’t be prouder of their achievements. We know you share in this pride, and we appreciate your support in ensuring a smooth dropoff and pickup process.
During our first week, we’ve focused on general expectations and having safe bodies in preschool. Your role in reinforcing these expectations at home is crucial. Please help your child understand there is a time and place for everything, including work, play, and nap time. Talk to your little one about what it means to be a good listener and friend who shares toys, tools, and the playground. Please encourage your child to allow friends to rest quietly during nap time, even when falling asleep can be challenging.
Next week, we’ll continue building a classroom community and getting to know each other. Please support us by sending a family photo to display in the classroom. We will return this to you at the end of the school year.
Just a few reminders:
- Remember to return your child’s laundered bedding in the plastic bin on Tuesday, along with a lovey!
- Please also return the Friday Folders. Place them in the container designated for this purpose.
- Remember to send your child to school in playground-friendly shoes. Preschoolers do a lot of climbing during Outdoor play, and they can easily slip and slide when their shoes are inappropriate. Wood chips can also get into little sandals, flip-flops, and Crocs, turning playground fun into frustration.
- No pets are allowed on Jeffco Public Schools premises, per Jeffco policy.
We are truly grateful for your cooperation and support. Your involvement is key to our success. We hope you have a wonderful weekend and look forward to seeing you promptly at 8:15 am on Tuesday.
Enjoy the long weekend,
Annie
