The Week of 11/4

Dear Families,

What an exciting week this was with all the fun “Tree” activities over the past few days and the Halloween celebration on Thursday! We are deeply grateful for your contributions to our party, which made it a memorable and enjoyable experience for our little ones. Your delicious (and healthy!) treats, including adorable tangerine pumpkins, fruit sticks, banana and strawberry ghosts, fruit juice boxes, and even treats and little trinkets to take home, were a delightful surprise for all.

We are also very thankful for the fun activities. Children enjoyed creating paper-mache pumpkins and wrapping their little friends (or grownups!) around during Mummy Wrap. The Halloween bean toss game provided tons of joy. When we concluded the games, preschoolers delighted in Ms. Kirsten’s beautiful book selection as she read Vlad, the Stylish Vampire to them – instilling children a message about how beautiful it is to be unique and finding a community that sees value in that. Thank you to everyone who supported us during our special celebration and made our little ones’ Halloween special!

Next week, we will continue learning about trees, exploring a tree’s life cycle (seed-seedling-sapling-tree), and how trees grow. We will record ideas, thoughts, and questions preschoolers might have. We would love to partner with you on this journey, so if you have any pictures or samples of potted trees in various stages of their life cycle or any experiences related to trees that you’d like to share, feel free to do so!

It’s November, and the Colorado weather can be pretty colorful, with warmer days alternating with snow. Please make sure your child is dressed for the weather. We usually go out for Outdoor Play when the temperature is above 32°F and the wind is calm. However, this might change depending on precipitation and when the weather is too windy.

Please also feel free to click on the Social-Emotional tab on this website. I have recently included resources you can check out and use with your child. Remember, you are not alone in this journey. We are here to support you and your child every step of the way.

Enjoy the afternoon,

Annie
