I saw God’s eyes today
In the depth of Baroque still lifes
Where heavy oils hold the light
And every crease on
The linen whispers
Of touches fresh and
Breaths still being drawn
I saw him in the geometry on page
Where every line speaks of eternity
An order, a mission crowned
By the marriage of intentional
Stroke and whim
And behind the lens
Of a photographer
Looking for that
Perfect tilt where
All shades conspire
A message that
Transcends the ages
I saw God’s ears today
Tracing the ache of a pianissimo
And the riot of joy
Shouting in vibrant staccatos
In a grand orchestra’s harmony
The dancer’s arc brushing against
Rhythm of passionate tunes transforming
The stage of our world
I heard God’s voice today
It shook the air through megaphones
Making the pavement shiver
And his baritone hum on vellum
Dried centuries ago
The rhythmic clack of typewriters
From fading decades
Delivering an eternal message
In the blue light of an emoji
Clicked two seconds ago
Words that defy the universe
Breaths born from stardust
Carried by the wind of eons
Still, silent and sacred
In the desert dust of restless souls
I saw God’s face today
He was smiling at the universe
Through this beautiful thing
Called Art
