Advent has arrived
In solemn purple
Whispering a story of
Evergreens and
Candle lights

Peace we wish for
That gently soothes
The human soul

And hums a melody of
Long forgotten
Songs wrapped in
Velvet

A promise we no longer
Believe in
A dream we forget to dream

Time has stopped
As we wait
Light just one more
Candle

And hope in angels’ wings
