There\u2019s a special magic in the early years, a time when the world is brand new and every day is a great adventure. But behind every curious question and every messy art project, there are heroes working their own kind of magic. They aren\u2019t heroes with capes and secret identities; they’re the ones with glue sticks, books, and kind words –\u00a0 the Superheroes of Preschool: the patient teachers and paraprofessionals, the supportive administrators, the dedicated volunteers, and the loving families who build the foundation for a lifetime of learning. With open hearts and endless encouragement, they teach our little ones the importance of sharing, the joy of discovery, and the courage to be themselves. They are the true architects of tomorrow – one small hand at a time.<\/span><\/p>

Ms. Izzy Yonkers, ECIP<\/span><\/h4>

Hello Coronado Preschool Families! My name is Ms. Izzy, and I have the pleasure of being Ms. Annie\u2019s assistant this 2026-2027 school year! I have worked in various childcare roles as a nanny, children\u2019s minister, camp counselor, and have assisted in toddler, primary, and elementary-aged classrooms. Thanks to my experience with various responsibilities and age groups, I have come to find that I am passionate about early childhood, and I love helping these new learners build the skills that will set them up for the rest of their lives! In my free time, I love spending time with my husband, friends & family, watching Seinfeld, or cooking fun meals. I also love drawing and painting, reading, and going for walks. I am honored to be one of your child\u2019s teachers, and I can\u2019t wait to grow together this year!<\/p>

Hello, my name is Stacy, I will be in your child’s classroom this year and I’d like to tell you a bit about myself. I have been married for 19 years and I have two wonderful children. My daughter is in high school and my son is in middle school. We love to travel and we are a big sports family, my children definitely keep us busy with their many extracurriculars. I am new to Coronado this year but have subbed at another elementary school in the area for the last four years. I look forward to being a part of your child’s next chapter and being able to watch them grow!<\/p>

Hello, my name is Justin Starr, and I am a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant. I have had the privilege of serving students with their speech needs for 15 years.\u00a0 I live in the Green Mountain area of Lakewood, I am married, and we have two daughters (sophomore\/senior) at Green Mountain High School.\u00a0 I was assigned to support Coronado this school year, and it is an honor to be able to serve your students’ speech and\/or language needs.\u00a0 I look forward to continuing to build rapport with your student and helping them grow towards meeting their speech goals.<\/p>

Ashlee Mick, Early Childhood Special Educator\u00a0<\/span><\/h4>

My name is Ashlee Mick, and I am going to be your child’s ECSE (Early Childhood Special Educator) this year! I have been in Preschool for the past 8 years, and before that, I was a Kindergarten teacher. I have 2 kiddos of my own, Mollie and Charlie. Charlie has a genetic disorder (5p-) and level 2 ASD. We have been navigating IEPs and community services for the past 13 years. This dual lens helps me ensure that your child receives the services and resources they need. \u00a0<\/p>

I\u2019m looking forward to partnering with you this year! I\u2019ll be your case manager and primary point of contact for any Special Education needs or questions. I\u2019ll be supporting students across multiple schools this year, but I\u2019ll do my best to connect with you in person soon.
